Filling in for a last minute cancellation tonight at Mojo Bones in Ocean View!
The upcoming 11/17/12 show at The Thirsty Camel has been cancelled due to the death of a friend. Some of us will be traveling out of town to pay our respects. However, we have rescheduled the show for 12/8/12, hope to see you then.
We're playing at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio tomorrow night, becuase we are artistic and stuff.
Join us at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio Wednesday 10/17/12 for an artistic array of visual, culinary, and performing arts.
Light refreshments from popular eateries will complement the cash bar. Bring a friend or a group, but space is limited for this hot ticket.
We'll kick things off Wednesday, Oct. 17 with music by Gina Dalmas and the Cow Tippin' Playboys. Visiting glass artists Karen Willenbrink-Johnsen and Jasen Johnsen will create a glass cowboy boot on site to complete the honky tonk theme.
We had a swell time at the Virginia Beach oceanfront this past Saturday night at the Neptune Festival - the sand sculpting competition was particularly impressive. We were shocked and pleased the rain held off until our set was over.
Traveling back home post-gig, one of the more taciturn members of the band startled us all with a thought-provoking query I decided to share. In a rare moment of silence without the rest of us interrupting each other, he asked, "Eric Clapton: what's the big deal?"
I'm infected with it. Call it procrastination, laziness, filibustering, dithering, hedging, prevaricating - I'm guilty of all. Had I actually posted updates to the site throughout the summer every time I intended to, I could now call up a vanity press and publish a short novel. Not a good novel, clearly, but there would be plenty of material. I shall hereby attempt to banish my indolent ways. Consider the site updated.

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had an enjoyable New Year's Eve - I can't remember mine, but I'm told the show we played was a lot of fun.
We are playing lots of festivals in the upcoming weeks - Neptune Festival this Saturday 10/1, Stockley Gardens Art Festival 10/15, and the Virginia Beach Craft Beer Festival 10/22. Come on out for these unusual daytime apperances and judge our blend of country culture for yourself! It's a good time to bring out the young'uns - Gina will be on her best behavior.
And it might just be me. Sorry folks, the Thirsty Camel show scheduled for this Saturday will have to be post-poned. We've had a scheduling snafu. While my aching, cough-ridden vocal cords are relieved, I'm disappointed we won't get our Camel fix of Fireball. Stay tuned for the re-scheduled date!
Particularly the one I have now, the FOURTH cold I've had this year.
Just discovered someone filmed an impromptu jam with Rylo and Gina Dalmas - nearly forgotten how fun that night was. Here's one:
Thanks to everyone who's been coming to the shows, it's been a pretty good summer. We are planning to record a new album/cd/record later this year. All financial donations are welcome to make that possibility a reality.
Last weekend was fun - Friday night playing at a duck-pin bowling alley in Richmond was odd and fun and hilarious and we wish the place wasn't closing down so we could play there again. Also, it was great to learn just what in the hell duck-pin bowling is. (It's mostly like mini-regular bowling, but not exactly). Saturday night playing Krossroads with a K had culinary perks -they offer collard greens on their pizza. I sampled the combination and can report collard greens on pizza is delicious.
Check it!
Gina and Greg had a swell time talking with Hunter Hughes and playing music as part of his weekly show on Sunday, April 3rd. You can listen to a recording of the show here:

And catch Hunter's live stream every Sunday from 7am to 11am at www.hunteratsunrise.com
Tune in to WVEC TV today for the noon news - Gina will be making an appearance in support of the Sea Level Singer/Songwriter Festival. The kick-off concert for the festival is tonight!
Last minute show scheduled in Richmond tonight! Playing another gig with Eddie Spaghetti which is awesome. Playing it solo, which is slightly less awesome, and a bit nerve-racking, it's been a while since I've played a solo show. Come on out for the opportunity to possibly witness me crash and burn. Plus the beer and food at Capital Ale House is known to be very tasty. And even better: Eddie Spaghetti duo live!
Please tune in Tuesday evening, March 29th at 7pm to Out of the Box on WHRV, 89.5 fm!
We will be performing live and talking with with host Paul Shugrue. This appearance is in support of the upcoming Sea Level Singer/Songwriter festival presented by Tidewater Arts Outreach. Out of the Box is an excellent program, and in recognition we'll be at our most refined. Do support TAO and Out of the Box, we are fans of both!
Cross your fingers no *bleeps* are required.
